TrailMinders Transition Programme
TrailMinders Transition Programme aims to reduce the drop-off of your existing loan book by providing active management including various services such as personal reach-outs, newsletter emails, loan reviews, a closed Facebook group, lender updates, property news, and other relevant information to your clients.
Specifically, TrailMinders actively manages your existing loan book by providing the following services:
- quarterly personal reach-outs
- monthly newsletter emails
- annual loan reviews - request to meet with client if needed
- clients will be invited to closed Facebook group, this Facebook group will be provided with:
- loan updates (specials, interest rate changes etc)
- property news (mix of properties which are offered to us by multiple sources)
- we send out actual birthday cards to the clients
To the broker we offer the following services which are included in the monthly fee:
- Free Para-broking advice,
- One free week of vacation care per year included, option to purchase vacation care at a rate of $150 per day
- End to end Loan processing (with Broker doing own interviews) for a discounted price of $349 +GST (submission only - all lending options included)
How does TrailMinders provide these services?
TrailMinders obtains limited data on your clients' book, consisting of the following:
- Full name
- Email
- Phone number
- Current lender
- Loan amount
- Loan details
- fixed/variable
- past settlement date
- end date fixed period
- current interest rates (if available)
We import this into a designated CRM System - specially set up for your clients - and through this CRM we reach out to your clients. You will have access to view all communications at any time. We also use a platform called Slack to communicate with your clients when working on any loan applications.
Clients are updated on the progress of any loan application in real time via an online platform. While access to this platform is not provided to brokers, TrailMinders can offer reporting.
What happens if a client from your loan book wants to refinance or purchase a property?
If a client from your loan book wants to refinance or purchase a property, we will consult with you on how to proceed. You can choose to write the loan yourself or let our Loan Writing Broker handle the loan. If you choose to let our Loan Writing Broker handle the loan, we have a specific commission split in place which we are happy to disclose in our initial meeting. When TrailMinders manages the new loan or refinance, the loan processing fee will be covered by fee TrailMinders receives.
The client will remain the broker's client at all times, but the loan will be written under the Loan Writing Broker's license.

Will I be locked in when signing up for the TrailMinders Transition Programme?
No, you maintain complete control over your business, your clients and your current loans. TrailMinders will simply look after your existing loan book on your behalf. When any of your existing clients require refinance or a new loan you have the first choice on how you would like to handle this request.
What is involved if I like to sign up for the TrailMinders Transition Programme?
Not much really. Once you signed the TrailMinders Transition Programme Contract we will work together with you in exporting the basic details of your clients in order to import these into Hubspot. Once this is done we actively monitor and communicate with your client book through Hubspot. You will receive a login so you can monitor this live 24/7.
What do I do if I want to stop working completely?
There are a few options if you like to stop working actively as a mortgage broker:
- If you like to keep the business but do not want to actively running your business, TrailMinders can monitor and look after your business on your behalf - please contact us about this.
- If you like to sell your business, TrailMinders can find a a suitable mortgage broker to buy your business. In some situations, TrailMinders or a connected broker might be interested in taking over the business from you.
